Featured Speaker: Frank Gens – IDC
As IDC's senior vice president and chief analyst, Frank Gens guides IDC's research into broad IT industry trends, particularly the strategic adoption of technology by Global 2000 businesses and the industries in which they compete. Gens is the producer of IDC eXchange, IDC’s blog and podcast on the state and future of the IT industry, and he is a frequent speaker at executive forums around the world. He is the author of IDC Predictions, the company's annual forecast of major changes in the global development and use of technology. Gens is a member of IDC's worldwide management team, a lead developer of IDC's global research architecture, and a member of IDC's Research Quality Board.
Gens is a 25 year veteran of the IT research and advisory services business, with more than 15 years at IDC in a variety of senior roles, including leading IDC's end-user research business and developing IDC's global Internet research capabilities. He is well-known for his provocative and accurate forecasts of IT industry change, and the impact of those changes on business and industry.
In addition to research management roles, Gens' career includes senior positions in new product development and introduction, product management, marketing, business development, corporate development, and regional operations management. Prior to IDC, Gens held management positions at International Data Group (IDG), AMR Research and The Yankee Group.
Featured Speaker: Sunil Bhargava - CSC:
Sunil Bhargava is the Global Portfolio Executive for CSC’s Cloud and Hosting Services. He brings 25 years of IT management, application architecture and product packaging experience to bear in defining and building cloud services for CSC’s global customer base. Under Bhargava’s direction, CSC has launched BizCloud, the only on-premise cloud with a unique cloud economic model, and is finishing the development of 12 cloud data centers around the world to provide on-demand elastic services such as infrastructure, platform, and systems and software applications. Bhargava has a master’s in software systems and a bachelor’s in computer engineering; both from the George Washington University.
Featured Speaker: Dean Fernandes - CSC:
Dean Fernandes is responsible for the Unified Communication and Collaboration Solutions portfolio, which includes Unified Communications, Video, Contact Center, Collaboration and Social Networking. Fernandes and the UCC team are responsible for defining the strategy, building the business plan and the leading the productization of the solutions. Fernandes built and manages CSC’s Unified Communications as a Service and TelePresence as a Service offerings, which are one of the industry’s first Cloud-based offerings. Before coming to CSC, Fernandes spent 18 years at Nortel in various IT management positions, including his last role as general manager for Application Services in the Global Services organization.
